Antique Connecticut
An antique and collectibles resource directory for anyone visiting our great New England state.
Connecticut is known for its tremendous natural beauty: rolling hills with centuries old farms, antique and collectible shops, delightful cafes and welcoming bed and breakfasts. You can take a much needed drive along our scenic roads - enter an antique store and amongst its tidy shelves find an antique tea pot just like the one Grandma used to have or that Wedgwood piece missing from your collection.

A Special Notice to Stores Listed on Antique Connecticut
Due to repeated requests, we are hoping to do a major expansion on this site this fall. Many visitors - and potential customers - who have come to rely on our directory have asked us to please list the stores by category. This makes good sense of course since antique collectors are searching for their specific treasure. I need your help to do this. I will be mailing out flyers to each store requesting this information, but there are so many it will take me time to get them all out.
Here are the new categories:
- Books, Maps, Ephemera
- By Style / Period
- Ceramics / Porcelain
- Furniture
- Glassware
- Home Decor
- Military / Maritime
- Musical Instruments
- Silver
- Stonework
- Textiles
- Toys / Other Collectibles
We also are offering new Bold Listings consisting of an eye catching font and small logo or iconic image (which we will help you create) - at only $15 per year. Through August 31st, 2007, stores can receive a Lifetime Bold Listing for only $25.00
As a special bonus - those without websites can get a basic webpage design for only $75 (in conjunction with Content and Solutions). This special is good only through August 31st, 2007 - and is a special discounted rate
I am trying to come up with ways to accommodate the needs of those looking for antiques and collectibles in Connecticut. I know from looking at my daily reports and from the emails I am receiving that there are plenty of people out there looking for antiques in Connecticut. Please keep writing me. I may not respond personally to everyone, But I am listening!... My eldest daughter just go married and my life became very busy this summer!
About Me
Thanks for stopping by, my name is Denise - I am just one of the people working on this site. I moved to Connecticut just a few years ago. The area and people are a fascinating change from much of the United States. In a landscape that often consists of little but suburban sprawl broken up by large cities, New England is a rolling forested countryside where rural lifestyles still flourish. You drive down country lanes past houses that have been lived in since the 18th and even 17th centuries. I am still discovering Antique Connecticut - I hope you join me.
Anything missing from our site? This is an ever growing directory - and I have only just begun- for a such a small state there is always much more to discover. Please contact us at Collectible Antiques Etc with your suggestions and discoveries. - Denise
